What beads should I use on this project? Here are most of my favorite choices. Viewed: 634 times.

I bought the lamp in blue, since I decided it was for my mother, and she likes blue. I was thinking of this color light turquoise blue, but I'm not sure how well it goes with the blue of the lamp, which is more of a slate blue. Viewed: 610 times.

Closer up on the light turquoise. I have seed beads in transparent, and dangle/tear beads in iridescent transparent. These beads would work great together. Viewed: 601 times.

Since the lamp is more of a slate blue, I contemplated shiny opaque gray. I have black seeds for accent, and these cool spiraly bugels. Size 3 I think. Viewed: 618 times.

These cute fat gray beads were meant for a gourd stitch (peyote) bag. That was when I learned that you can't just use any kind of beads for gourd stitch. I've put the failed gourd stitch on the top of the lamp to look at the color. NO I'm not going to attempt to gourd stitch this whole thing! Viewed: 608 times.

Here are some nice blue seeds. Iridescent transparent, but maybe a bit too iridescent for the matte glass of the lamp. Viewed: 598 times.

Oooo, pretty. Too close with the camera makes these blue seeds look fake. But pretty. ;p Viewed: 603 times.

Blue transparent Dynamites. Nice darker blue. I think that works with the slate. Viewed: 606 times.
|
If I use the dark blue, should I use a white/clear for an accent? White opaque on the left--iridescent clear on the right. Viewed: 463 times.

On a side note:
I bought all these Dynamites for my Holiday Wreath earrings. I love Dynamites for this kind of beadwork. I wish they were available in the bead stores. Viewed: 603 times.

More side note:
Here's a couple examples of the Holiday earrings. Green/Red/Clear/White for Holiday Wreaths, proper, or dark blue/iridescent clear for snowflakes. Viewed: 646 times.
